Blackboard Learn 9.1
The purpose of this article is to provide instructions on what to do when you get locked out of a test after the test "lags out" or submits automatically.
While taking an exam, I experience problems with the assessment. Examples include frozen screen, session time-out, test fails to load or submit, or pop-up blocker settings do not allow the assessment to open.
Any student experiencing these issues should do the following:
1) You must contact your instructor to request a reset of your assessment, as only they have the authority to do so at their discretion.
2) However, prior to retaking the current assessment (or any other future assessment) please reference the following:
The CTDLC strongly recommends using a wired (not wireless) network connection for course related activity, especially for sensitive activity such as taking an online test, or for providing personal data such as a credit card number. While wireless networks are convenient, they often do not ensure a reliable or secure connection. For information to improve wireless network performance, please visit: http://esupport.ctdlc.org/index.php?/Knowledgebase/Article/View/59/9/general---tips-for-improving-wireless-network-service
NOTE: The above list is not meant to be all inclusive, but does represent the most common issues that some users experience while using Blackboard. Please also note that you may need to procure the services of a friend/family member/neighbor/paid technician to assist you through resolution.
